Pro Advantage Hockey believes that skill improvement requires the proper training environment. Although different approaches can be effective, we believe that certain elements are necessary. Pro Advantage Hockey supports an environment that is fun, challenging and disciplined. Each session attempts to utilize unique training methods that most players enjoy. Not only is it imperative to generate a positive and encouraging training session it is also important to appropriately challenge a participant's skill level and provide constructive criticism to continuously improve.
We believe that there are two main components that make a player better. These components are the player's skill set and their knowledge of the game, or how they "think" the game. Improving these two areas will contribute to a player's overall hockey development.
During the small group and private sessions we will identify both strengths and weaknesses to either develop or improve upon. The effort and work ethic brought to these sessions by the participants will also influence the progress made. We believe that all participants are different and that personal attention will help accelerate development. Working together we feel that an ideal training approach can be developed.
We also believe that teaching the fundamentals of game concepts and positioning are just two of the keys to developing a team that not only plays well together but also enjoys playing as a cohesive unit, therefore generating more enjoyment for the game.
